Inherited an aweful 120 month contract on a hot water tank worth hundreds, ends up costing thousands. Finally an appointment tonight, but he never showed. Maxium financial is their partner and the staff there are useless and just take your money and run. Recently, Ontario Consumers Home Services representative visited our home and replaced the water heater with a high energy efficient one at FREE of cost. I found their work from beginning to the end extremely satisfactory. They were very professional and knew what they were doing.
I am sorry that you had to go through such misery. Do not ever get stuck in one of these contracts. Customer service if you want to call it that is absolutely awful. We have sold our house and are moving out of the city. It has been impossible to have anyone call us about cancelling our account. They make you leave a message and promise to call you back the next business day only to never receive the call back.

The sales guy, Mark from Ontario Consumers Home Services, came out, spent an hour with me explaining everything, showing me what would be done, was super friendly and never pushed a hard sell. He gave me a great price on a new furnace and bypass humidifier. Two people I know from this company also have not been paid so far. Ontario Consumers Home Services vs Water Heaters Rental
We did not cancel because our bill came after 10 days passed. My dad signed a contract for water heater at the door in January 8th 2018 and today I got a bill for tankless water heater. The saleperson said the amount for monthly payment will be covered by a credit which is not true. He claimed the water heater is old and if anything happened to the reliance old water heater they will not able to fix it.

We signed, then somebody called to confirm the new price and we were supposed to get another call within 10 days to do the final confirmation. We called OCHS and all they are saying is that they are not responsible for what all those guys were telling us, they are the contractors, and we confirmed the price . How could we know that the cancellation of the previous contracts were also a scam.
The company statistics seen here display two important pieces of information about the business. "Complaints Unresolved" tells how many complaints consumers have filed about the company on Scambook. "Unresolved Reported Damages"shows how much money has been lost by all of users who filed complaints against the company. Sorry I've been busy recently and haven't checked your posting for awhile. Thanks so much for your advice and suggestions, it's been very helpful to me to negotiate with the company, after several months' fight, eventually I got settled with them with a much more reasonable price. Since they stepped back a lot, I decided not to take further actions to waste my time and energy.
Called customer service to get a technician out. And that's when we realized we have a problem. The technical support person is in India and was not familiar with our model. Had no idea how to help so "escalated" the case to be SCHEDULED for a home visit. We have to wait for 48 hours TO SCHEDULE THE SERVICE CALL. So nice to have great services from these guys.
I made a mistake by getting a product with them. Didn’t show up for several service calls without even a phone call. Didn’t honour price freeze even though it’s in writing and won’t return calls.

Want to get rid of this rip off and possibly some of my moneys back . Those who may benefit from the settlement include Ontario residents who entered into a lease agreement for equipment with Ontario Energy Group, also known as MDG Newmarket, between May 1, 2012 and Dec. 31, 2016. Under the terms of the proposed settlement, Class Members may receive cancellation of their lease agreement and forgiveness of any money owed.

All the recipient has to do to get a “cost neutral whole home combo filter” is complete the “work order application” attached.
